Why I do not have any transformative learning experience

This is the question that my coach gave me in our last conversation. When I talked with my coachee, who made a wonderful transformative learning experience (Yes, I think she made it rather than just have it), I was so impressed by her story. And then I realized that I do not have any.(or I did not make it or I did not realize it as a transformative learning experience). I began to think about it. When does transformative learning experience occur, and how? It occurs when we are faced with a big challenge in our life (whatever it is) and how we deal with it. But the underlying assumption or premise I established is that it is bad to not have a transformative learning experience and I have a responsibility for that. (Pamela says in the 'Three Levels of Coaching' that the "you have all the answers within yourself" assumption is logically extended to the assumption that I am in charge of my happiness. So if I'm not happy, that’s my fault). I was stuck to this. Let me think again about this with fresh mind.

My understanding is that transformative learning experiences happen when we least expect them and that if you haven't had one, you at some point will. Everyone does. Some are epochal and change our lives. Others change our ways of thinking about something or maybe advance our worldviews..
